Harvest

An atypical year in the Dão region. Cold and dry winter, followed by a very rainy spring. Summer was very hot. This unstable weather conditions caused a reduction in output levels, while maturation was achieved later than usual. At harvest time, grapes had good acidity translating into fresh, aromatic and elegant wines.

Vinification

Grapes were harvested in the early morning hours into small 25 kg boxes, following a strict selection of the best grapes in the vineyard. Fermentation lasted for 20 days, with temperature control, in small inox containers, followed by maturation in fine sediment, with regular shaking. Natural decanting and bottling, with filtering, in April 2019.
